Complementary Therapy
Sue Leatherdale
Esscentials – Aromatherapy, Reflexology & Hopi Ear Candles
Sue Leatherdale qualified in Aromatherapy with the Revival School in Sutton Coldfield in 1997 and in Reflexology with the Bailey School of Reflexology in 1999. She has been practicing both therapies locally ever since.
Both therapies are safe and gentle to use and can help the body to rebalance, reducing stress and aiding relaxation. Specific ailments can be helped using these techniques.
Aromatherapy combines touch with the healing properties of natural plant essential oils whilst Reflexology is based on the principle that reflex points on the feet and hands correspond to individual parts of the body. Gentle stimulation of these points helps the body to restore balance both emotionally and physically. Hopi Ear Candles can help with the after effects of colds and with conditions such as tinnitus and sinusitis and includes a relaxing face and scalp massage, which can aid relaxation.
Since qualifying Sue has completed training that covers the use of Aromatherapy and Reflexology for Cancer Care, Fertility and Pregnancy and Multiple Sclerosis. She used a range of complementary therapies throughout her own pregnancy and was a founding member of the Warwickshire Pregnancy and Birth Network which she is still actively involved in. She regularly treats clients at the end of their pregnancies when Reflexology in particular can be very beneficial.
Sue is a member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA), the British Reflexology Association (BRA) and the Pregnancy and Birth Network.
