30 Jul New! Yoga with Nicola Wright
Yoga & Meditation Instructor, Nicola Wright is to run new classes at Halo!
Nicola has found so many personal benefits from her daily yoga practice that she wants to share her joy of yoga with others. Yoga promotes strength, flexibility, body awareness and relaxation, and Nicola believes that its benefits filter into everyday life, helping with mental focus, a sense of calm and improved sleeping patterns.
Recently certified, Nicola teaches Hatha with a little Vinyasa, always prioritising length in the spine and ensuring long, free, even breathing. Classes start with a short meditation to connect with the breath, move through a variety of poses (some static and some flowing) and finish with Savasana (several minutes of total relaxation to complete your practice).
Classes are perfect for those with some yoga experience, though beginners are equally welcome to come along.
Classes will take place at Halo on Tuesday evenings 7 – 8pm, starting on Tuesday 10th September.
Each session is available at £8 for a single lesson or £42 for a block booking of 6 lessons. All sessions must be booked in advance, due to a small class size of 9 people maximum.
Nicola also plans to offer Yin Yoga with Yoga Nidra at Halo later in the Autumn. Yin is a slow, soothing yet challenging practice, which targets the deep connective tissues and flexibility of the joints. Poses, which are all low to the ground, are held for 3 to 5 minutes with minimal muscular engagement. It is suitable for all levels. Yoga Nidra is a deeply relaxing ‘sleep’ meditation, which rounds off a Yin practice perfectly. Please contact Nicola if you would be interested in this 90 minute practice.
