A new 6-week course of Mama & Baby Pilates classes starts at Halo on Thursday 30th June 2022!

Lead by Women’s Health Specialist Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor, Gemma Joiner, these are Postnatal Pilates classes for both Mama and Baby.  

Mama & Baby Pilates classes concentrate on matters specific to the postnatal period and focus on improving posture, pelvic floor muscle function, pelvic stability, abdominal and core strength, and mobility.  

Classes are bespoke to participants and their individual needs and goals, and will get your body feeling strong and supple again, so you feel prepared and able for the demands of motherhood.

Face-to-face classes will take place in our Pilates Studio each week of the 6-week course, and attendees will also receive one pre-recorded class to access online on a weekly basis (6 in total) to help continue with their Pilates at home.

Who’s it for?

Suitable for those 6 weeks post natural delivery, or 8-12 weeks post caesarean delivery. 

(Not suitable for those in acute pain)

Babies are welcome to attend until they are mobile or crawling off. This is a great way to spend time and bond with your baby as well as meeting other new mothers and babies too!

  • One 55-minute face-to-face class every week (6 in total) 
  • One pre-recorded class issued after each face-to-face class to allow continuity of home practice at your convenience (5 in total)
